INAUGURAL INTIMACIES
I have heard that, at one time, we read literary journals fresh off the hand-crank printing presses, still warm to the touch. I have also heard that our tangible world is on the way out. Being a good consumer, I don't consider either proposition to be completely true. But because those of us at The Bat City Review are a little hedonist about our consumption of ideas, we have decided that a blog would complement our annual publication in excellent and zeitgeisty ways.
In the future, you can expect to see our announcements in this space. (Like this one: our inaugural reading series begins on Sunday, October 28th at the Blue Dahlia, located at 1115 E. 11th St.) You can also expect news about our contributers, listings of literary events in the Austin area, and sundry but worthwhile ephemera. In short, a hedonist banquet of information.
Thanks for stopping by, come back soon,
THE EDITORS
